Surgical skin prep showdown: which solution best fights infection?

Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common surgical skin-cleaning solutions works better at preventing infections after revision hip or knee replacement surgery. Researchers will randomly assign 400 patients to have their skin prepared with either a chlorhexidine-alcohol solution or a povidone-iodine solution before surgery. The main goal is to see which solution leads to fewer repeat operations for wound problems or infections within a year after the initial surgery.
