Personalized shield: daily pill aims to block deadly infections for new kidney recipients

NCT ID NCT07407673

Summary

This study aims to prevent dangerous bloodstream infections in people who have recently received a kidney transplant. It will test if a daily antibiotic pill, given for five months to patients identified as high-risk, is better than a placebo at stopping these infections. The goal is to see if this personalized prevention strategy can keep transplant patients healthier and out of the hospital.
