Study aims to stop infant obesity before it starts
NCT ID NCT04782063
Summary
This study tested whether carefully adjusting the amount of milk or formula given to babies could prevent them from becoming overweight by 6 months of age. It focused on infants born to mothers who were overweight or obese, as these babies are at higher risk for early weight gain. Researchers compared babies fed standard amounts to those whose milk intake was slightly reduced if they started gaining weight too quickly.
