Summary
This study is testing whether adding two heart procedures during planned heart surgery can prevent irregular heartbeats that commonly occur after surgery. The research involves 960 people aged 65+ who need heart surgery but haven't had irregular heartbeats before. Doctors will compare outcomes between those who receive the extra procedures and those who don't.
