New solution aims to stop deadly infections in heart devices
NCT ID NCT07158502
Summary
This study aims to see if a new antimicrobial solution called TauroPace™ can prevent infections in people getting pacemakers or similar implanted heart devices. Researchers will compare the solution to the current standard practice of using sterile salt water during the implant procedure. The goal is to see if the new solution lowers the risk of serious, sometimes fatal, infections that can occur after surgery.
