Simple prenatal classes could stop babies developing flat head syndrome

NCT ID NCT07182604

Summary

This study tested whether teaching parents about proper baby positioning and care before birth could prevent positional plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) in infants. Researchers enrolled 400 families and provided half with educational materials about how to position babies to avoid skull flattening. They then measured whether babies whose parents received this education had less head flattening and fewer related posture problems at 3 months old.
