First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special nursing care plan can prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients who have heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. About 67 adults will be split into two groups: one gets the new nursing protocol, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach reduces the number of blood clots and related complications within three months after surgery.
