Summary

This study aims to see if a preparation of inactivated gut bacteria (Bacteroides fragilis) can prevent diarrhea in cancer patients undergoing specific chemotherapy treatments. It will involve 200 adults with colorectal or breast cancer who are about to start chemotherapy known to cause diarrhea. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the bacteria preparation or a placebo to compare the rates and severity of diarrhea.
