Summary

This study aims to see which of two simple pre-surgery treatments works better to prevent wound infections after a planned cesarean section (C-section). It will compare applying a clindamycin antibiotic cream inside the vagina to cleaning the vagina with a povidone-iodine antiseptic solution. The study involves 150 healthy women having a planned, single-baby C-section at full term.
