Race to stop dangerous bleeding after emergency births
NCT ID NCT07380529
Summary
This study compared two drugs, carbetocin and oxytocin, to see which is better at preventing severe bleeding (postpartum hemorrhage) after an emergency cesarean section. It involved 300 pregnant women who were initially in labor but needed an urgent C-section. Researchers measured blood loss and other health markers to determine which medication was more effective.
