Summary

This study tests a new program called PrevED MR that uses mixed reality (a blend of real and virtual worlds) to teach emotion regulation skills to adolescents and young adults at risk for eating disorders. Participants will attend 12 group sessions over 6 weeks, practicing mindfulness, distress tolerance, and body acceptance. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce eating disorder symptoms and improve body image before a full-blown disorder develops.
