Summary

This study reviewed existing research to compare the nutrient content of breast milk from mothers who delivered preterm versus full-term babies. The goal is to better understand the nutritional differences to help improve feeding strategies for vulnerable premature infants. Researchers analyzed data from over 100 studies to measure levels of proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals in the milk.
