Feeding study aims to help tiniest babies thrive

NCT ID NCT05265143

Summary

This study compared two different tube feeding methods for very small premature babies to see which causes fewer feeding problems. Researchers looked at 100 infants weighing less than 1750 grams to determine if intermittent feeding or bolus feeding leads to less vomiting, abdominal distension, and other feeding issues. The goal was to help these fragile babies tolerate feedings better and grow more effectively in the neonatal intensive care unit.
