Scientists listen in: how preemies learn Mom's voice
NCT ID NCT02818595
Summary
This study aimed to understand how premature babies' brains develop the ability to recognize their mother's voice. Researchers observed 22 premature infants to see when and how different sides of the brain become specialized for voice recognition. The goal was to learn how the hospital sound environment affects early brain development in babies born too early.
