Tracking the path to recovery: what works for prescription drug addiction?

NCT ID NCT03713983

Summary

This study follows 400 adults already getting standard treatment for addiction to prescription opioids (like painkillers) or benzodiazepines (like anxiety pills). Researchers will track patients for up to 10 years to see how many successfully reduce or stop using these drugs and what factors—like therapy type or other health issues—are linked to better outcomes. The goal is to gather information to design better future treatments, not to test a new therapy now.
