First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether changing how prescriptions are written (like using words instead of numbers) helps people over 75 make fewer errors when organizing their daily pills. 64 hospitalized older adults with mild or no memory problems were asked to fill pillboxes using different prescription styles. The goal is to find simple ways to reduce medication mistakes and improve safety for seniors managing multiple medicines.
