Pregnancy counseling may prevent unplanned pregnancies after childbirth
NCT ID NCT05550064
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving women structured counseling about birth control during pregnancy helps them use long-acting reversible contraception (like IUDs or implants) after delivery. About 160 pregnant women will take part, and researchers will compare how many use these methods at 6 months postpartum versus those who received standard care. The goal is to reduce unplanned pregnancies soon after childbirth.
