Summary
This study looks at how to help people who use drugs start and keep taking a daily pill called PrEP that prevents HIV. The pill, Descovy, is already FDA-approved for HIV prevention. About 200 people who test HIV-negative in the emergency department will either start PrEP and be followed for a year, or just share their thoughts on PrEP in an interview. The goal is to understand real-world challenges and solutions for using PrEP in this group, not to test if the medicine works.
