First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested two drugs (pembrolizumab and vactosertib) given before and after surgery to remove liver tumors in people with colorectal cancer that had spread to the liver. The goal was to see if this approach could shrink tumors before surgery and lower the chance of cancer coming back. Only 6 people took part before the study was stopped early.
