New study: could Pre-Surgery radiation boost breast reconstruction results?

Summary
This study compares two approaches for breast cancer patients who need a mastectomy and radiation. The experimental group gets radiation before surgery with immediate reconstruction, while the standard group gets radiation after surgery with delayed reconstruction. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to higher satisfaction with breasts and better quality of life. About 180 women will take part, and results will be tracked for up to 10 years.
