NCT ID NCT07666945
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether giving pregnant women health education about birth preparedness and complication readiness helps them plan better. About 576 pregnant women in Ethiopia will be split into groups that receive the education at different times. The goal is to see if more women make key preparations like choosing a delivery place, saving money, and arranging transport.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
health education on birth preparedness and complication readiness
What this could lead to
If this works, it could show that simple health classes help pregnant women feel more ready for childbirth and handle emergencies better.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study in one region of Ethiopia, so results may not apply elsewhere. It only measures planning steps, not actual health outcomes.
