Summary
This study compares two approaches for managing a common heart vessel problem in premature babies. Researchers want to know whether immediate drug treatment or careful monitoring with treatment only if needed leads to better survival and lung development. The trial involves 836 very premature infants and examines which approach reduces breathing problems and death by 36 weeks.
