NCT ID NCT07450092

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This small pilot study will test whether a forced air warming device can be used outside the hospital to rewarm people with accidental hypothermia (dangerously low body temperature from cold exposure). Four healthy adults will be cooled slightly and then warmed with the device while researchers measure body temperature changes and check for practical problems. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible for emergency responders.
