Get fit to fight: Pre-Surgery training cuts cancer op risks

NCT ID NCT07389746

Summary

This study tests if a 'prehabilitation' program helps high-risk patients better survive major gastrointestinal cancer surgery. For four weeks before their operation, participants will do supervised high-intensity exercise, receive special nutrition, and get psychological support. Researchers want to see if this preparation makes patients more resilient and reduces serious post-surgery complications compared to standard care.
