Can better prenatal care stop chronic diseases before they start?
NCT ID NCT07442318
Summary
This study tests whether adding structured healthy lifestyle counseling to routine prenatal care visits helps pregnant women in Ethiopia. About 1,268 women will receive counseling on nutrition, physical activity, and reducing air pollution exposure during pregnancy. Researchers want to see if this approach leads to healthier babies at birth and lowers the mothers' future risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart conditions.
