Summary
This study tested whether pregabalin (a nerve pain medication) could prevent long-term pain after breast cancer surgery. It focused specifically on patients identified as high-risk for developing chronic pain. Patients received either pregabalin or a placebo starting before surgery and continuing for two weeks afterward.
