New tool aims to spot which lung clot patients will crash

NCT ID NCT05098769

Summary

This study is developing a tool to help doctors predict which patients with a sudden, serious lung blood clot (pulmonary embolism) are most likely to have life-threatening complications within 30 days. Researchers will use information from 300 patients, including their scans and lab tests, to create and test a prediction model. The goal is to identify high-risk patients earlier so they can get more intensive care.
