Can your speech predict your mental health future?
NCT ID NCT05384392
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict the long-term diagnosis for people experiencing their first psychotic episode. Researchers will analyze participants' speech patterns and blood markers at the start of the study to see if they can forecast whether the psychosis will develop into a mood-related disorder (like bipolar) or another type (like schizophrenia) two years later. The goal is to help doctors make faster, more accurate diagnoses so patients can get the right treatment sooner.
