Summary

This study tests whether a new computer model can better predict postpartum hemorrhage (heavy bleeding after childbirth) than current methods. The model uses 21 factors that update automatically during labor and alerts doctors if risk is high. Researchers will compare outcomes in 10,000 mothers who deliver at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
