Can a quick ICU check predict future suffering?
NCT ID NCT05690438
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple screening test given to patients when they leave the intensive care unit (ICU) could predict who would struggle with anxiety, depression, or physical disability three months later. Researchers followed 773 adult ICU survivors, asking them to complete surveys about their mental and physical health three months after discharge. The goal was to validate a tool that could help doctors identify patients who need extra support early on.
