New tool aims to predict who will suffer after achilles surgery
NCT ID NCT07558512
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of about 489 adults who had Achilles tendon surgery. The goal is to find out which factors lead to moderate or severe pain in the first 24 hours after surgery, and to create a simple tool (called a nomogram) that doctors can use to predict this pain. No new treatments are being tested—this is only about better understanding and forecasting pain.
