Doctors look back to see future risk for lung clot patients
NCT ID NCT05481242
Summary
This study looks back at the medical records of 2,000 patients who had a serious lung clot (pulmonary embolism). Researchers are analyzing the information to build a simple tool that can predict which patients are most likely to have severe complications, like needing a breathing machine or dying, within 30 days of going to the hospital. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients sooner.
