Can a prenatal scan predict a newborn's bowel emergency?

NCT ID NCT07434596

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to see which prenatal ultrasound findings best predict which newborns will actually have an intestinal blockage after birth. Researchers will review data from about 60 newborns who had a suspected blockage seen on ultrasound during pregnancy. The goal is to help doctors give better advice to expecting parents and plan for safer deliveries at specialized hospitals.
