Simple scan could warn doctors of dangerous blood pressure drops during surgery
NCT ID NCT07497295
Summary
This study aims to see if a quick, non-invasive ultrasound scan of major leg veins can predict which patients will experience a dangerous drop in blood pressure after receiving spinal anesthesia. Researchers will scan 110 men before they undergo a common prostate surgery. The goal is to find a simple way to identify at-risk patients so doctors can act early to prevent complications.
