Heart valve study seeks to predict dangerous scarring
NCT ID NCT06341166
Summary
This study aims to develop a scoring system to predict which patients with mitral valve prolapse (a heart valve condition) are likely to have dangerous scarring in their heart muscle. Researchers will collect data from 300 patients using various heart tests like echocardiograms and MRIs to identify risk factors. The goal is to help doctors decide which patients need advanced imaging to check for this scarring, which can lead to serious irregular heartbeats.
