Heart scan may predict dangerous Post-Surgery heart rhythms

Summary
This study aims to learn if a special MRI scan of the heart, taken before surgery, can predict which patients are more likely to develop irregular heartbeats after heart surgery. Researchers will follow 50 patients having planned heart surgery who have no prior history of irregular heartbeats. They will compare the scan results with the patients' recovery to see if scarring in the heart predicts complications.
