New safety check could make surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07461792
Summary
This study is testing a new scoring system called the HON Model to better predict when placing a breathing tube during surgery might be difficult. Researchers will observe 350 adult patients undergoing surgery to see if combining height measurements with neck mobility and airway obstruction assessments improves prediction accuracy. The goal is to help doctors prepare better for challenging intubations and improve patient safety.
