Can a simple scan tell dentists if your new tooth implant will hold?

NCT ID NCT06654518

Summary

This study aimed to see if a special 3D dental X-ray (CBCT scan) taken before surgery could predict how stable a new dental implant would be right after placement. Researchers looked at 29 patients, measuring their jawbone density and width from the scan and comparing it to the implant's stability during surgery. The goal was to help dentists better plan implant procedures by knowing in advance how well the bone might support the new implant.
