Summary
This study aims to validate a simple scoring system from a standard pre-surgery CT scan to predict which patients are at high risk for a dangerous leak after colon surgery. It involves 615 patients scheduled for a right colectomy. The goal is to give surgeons a tool to identify vulnerable patients before their operation, potentially allowing for extra precautions.
