Simple strength and fear tests may predict birth outcomes

NCT ID NCT07635771

First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at 420 pregnant women to see if simple physical tests (like hand grip and standing up from a chair) and questions about fear and confidence can help predict whether a birth will be natural or need medical help. It also checks if these factors affect breastfeeding success for up to 6 months. The study is only observing and gathering information, not testing a treatment.
