Simple blood test could warn doctors of deadly lung complication in burned children
NCT ID NCT07414056
Summary
This study aims to find out if two simple ratios calculated from a standard blood test can predict which children with severe burns will develop a dangerous lung condition called ARDS. Researchers will observe 60 children, aged 1-12, with serious burns, tracking their blood tests and health over time. The goal is to identify early warning signs so doctors can intervene sooner.
