Can your heartbeat predict Post-Surgery confusion?

NCT ID NCT07389135

Summary

This study aims to understand if a person's heart rate patterns and anxiety levels before nose surgery can help predict who might become agitated or confused when waking up from anesthesia. Researchers will observe about 100 adults undergoing elective nose surgery, measuring their heart rate and anxiety beforehand and then watching their recovery. The goal is to gather knowledge to potentially improve patient safety and comfort after surgery in the future.
