New drug tested to wipe out prostate cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT07208292

Summary

This study aims to see if giving the drug rezvilutamide to men before their prostate cancer surgery helps eliminate more cancer cells and prevents the cancer from coming back. It will enroll 115 men with high-risk or locally advanced prostate cancer who are scheduled for surgery. Researchers will track whether the drug leads to no detectable cancer in the removed tissue and monitor for signs of recurrence after surgery.
