Can a 'Prehab' program make hernia surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT07316426

Summary

This study is testing if a special preparation program before hernia surgery leads to fewer complications. Patients are randomly assigned to either follow a program to get more active, lose weight, and manage other health conditions before surgery, or to have surgery without this structured preparation. The main goal is to see if the preparation program reduces problems within three months after the operation.
