Could a simple chat before surgery speed up your hand recovery?
NCT ID NCT05095415
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding a pre-surgery education session with an occupational therapy student improves patients' recovery from hand surgeries like fixing wrist fractures or repairing tendons. It planned to compare patients who got this extra session to those who received only the surgeon's standard instructions. The main goals were to see if the session helped patients attend more therapy appointments and feel better about their function and overall surgery experience.
