Summary
This study tests if adding nitrates (found in vegetables like beets) to a standard pre-surgery carbohydrate drink helps women recover faster after open gynecological surgery. The goal is to see if this combination reduces hospital stay. 90 women aged 18-60 with low surgical risk are being recruited.
