First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a short cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) session before ACL reconstruction surgery can reduce fear of movement (kinesiophobia) and improve physical function. Researchers will enroll 44 patients aged 18-45 and randomly assign them to receive either standard care or the CBT intervention. They will measure changes using questionnaires, movement tests, and brain activity scans.
