Breathing mask before surgery could cut complications in half
NCT ID NCT01685580
Summary
This study tested whether using a special breathing mask for at least 7 days before lung cancer surgery could reduce serious complications after the operation. It focused on patients at higher risk due to existing breathing problems, obesity, or heart failure. The goal was to see if this simple, non-invasive preparation could make surgery safer by cutting post-surgery lung and heart problems in half.
