App before chest surgery boosts recovery, study finds

Summary
This study tested whether using a mobile app to teach patients about their upcoming chest surgery helps them recover better. 128 adults scheduled for chest surgery either got standard care or used the app. Researchers measured quality of life, anxiety, walking ability, and hospital stay length to see if the app made a difference.
