First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether injecting Botox into the abdominal muscles before surgery for a complex incisional hernia can help doctors close the hernia more easily and with fewer complications. 32 adults received Botox as part of their pre-surgery care. The goal was to see if this simple step could reduce the need for more extensive surgery and improve recovery.
